Although uncommon, medical emergencies in the dental setting can range from non-life-threatening conditions to fatal situations and oral healthcare professionals (OHCPs) must be capable of recognizing and managing them appropriately. Since patient safety is always our primary concern, this program reviews the proper use and delivery of the essential emergency medications included in a basic drug emergency kit which should be available in every dental office.
